Dress for YOU !!

If you love your body , dress for your body .

If you don't (love your body) change it..........YOU have the power to change you.........don't
get hurt and body shame all those that are fit and flirty ...........its hard work, but worth it,
sometimes simple things like .....watch your portion size, walking a mile a day, drinking only water, cutting out or down on bread or sugar .....can make a world of difference. Give it a week ...........

Dress for your shape, if you have an hour-glass figure , lucky wear belts, or short waist skirts and pants.  Accent that waist!! Wear form fitting clothing...........if you have a pudgy middle, like me....high waist shorts, pants, skirts and UNDERWARE are best........spanks for special occasions...YUP.....Tops are great for accents on your body ......DON'T show cleavage unless your at the pool or work at hooters LOL.

Arms are a hard one......we all have flab.......if your over 18.....but you can (do push-up are work with weights, of just lifting yourself off of your chair with your arms at your side, small circles with arms extended in a "T"  shape )can work the muscles you need.  But sleeves shirts, tanks are worn with caution. A simple cap sleeve or 3/4 sleeve are flattering.

Legs are sometimes your best asset , I was told that in addition to my size 0, I had good legs..........now I'm not sure about that cause I'm 5' 1" tall.......so but dress to show some leg, for short people like me, above the knee and mid thigh is short enough but can add height.  If you have long legs...........SHOW THEM OFF.....but don't go too short with your outfits..........the right shoes or boots can make the difference. (more on that later).

Shoes, boots and sandals..........take care of your feet........they effect your posture, knees and back.
Your feet grow so get sized or try on EVERYTIME you shop for footware.  I'm on my feet alot so I'm all about comfort first then style.  If your wearing 6" heels, be sure you can walk in them, don't stumble....practice.......my heels have a time limit usually 3 hours...LOL.  Boots can be fun for fall, winter and summer just have fun .  Sandals....are so much but not real good for your feet.......flip flops are great for beach and short periods, skechers , teva and crocs make practical sandals.  BUT  don't wear any sandals unless your feet are clean and soft .........PEDI's ya'll

Be Happy, Dress Happy

check it out

If your friend sells MaryKay, try it!
If your friend sells Scentsy, try it!
If your friend sells Tupperware, try it!
If your friend sells Jamberry, try it!
If your friend sells Isagenix, try it!
If your friend sells Norwex, try it!
If your friend sells Rodan and Fields, try it!
If your friend sells Stella and Dot, try it!"
Moral of the story………if my friend/family owned a restaurant...Guess what, I would eat there! If a friend/family of mine owned a hair salon, I would go there! If one of my friends owned a dance studio, I would have my child take lessons there.
So the next time you are walking into Ulta, think about your friend who sells Mary Kay or Rodan and Fields and how she has a daughter to put through college.
Next time you walk into Walmat think about that Tupperware lady or Scentsy or maybe the Stella and Dot who has teenage sons and is trying to buy a bigger house because they are still sharing a bedroom.
Next time you go to a Vitamin or GNC to buy synthetic vitamins, think of your friend raising her family selling all natural wholefood healthy supplements.
Next time you go to the T-Mobile or Sprint store to set up new cell phone service or renew your contract, think about your friend, brother, sister, father, mother, son, daughter, cousin, aunt, uncle who offers Mobile by Stream and is trying to pay his/her bills for their children.
At the end of the day these big corporations are going to give absolutely NOTHING back to you, but when you help a small business owner you're not only helping your friends but you're also helping put money back into our economy.

SO  Im' asking is

JUST BE NICE

In my lifetime, one thing has always held true.

People around me have been mean to me, lied to me, cheated me, stolen from me,
slandered me and my character,
so when these fine people have done this,  It hurts me, and

I GET MAD
I LEAVE
I TURN AWAY

BUT

Then I pray, forgive and GO ON WITH MY LIFE.

I may or may not invite you back in my life..........but know this............

I'm a happy person.  I love life, I love people, I love animals, I love
the outside world, (camping, hiking, skiing, gardening, just sitting outside)
this keep me connected...........I practice deep breathing, singing, dancing,
and all kinds of music............these things make me HAPPY.

So if you are one of those who have been mean to me, slandered me, cheated me, stolen from
me and lied to me or about me...........I forgave you ..........long long long ago,
I'M OK,,,,,,,,,,,,I'M HAPPY and I just have thing to say.

STOP
TURN YOUR LIFE AROUND
AND

JUST  BE  N I C E !!

Man..............O............Man

You know how crazy things are getting.

Right is wrong, wrong is right.

The world is turned upside down.

As a teacher of many different ages of children, I see two mistakes made over and over
again. Parents YOU are in charge.........YOU must step up to the plate and PARENT.

#1 YOUR children MUST respect you.  They need to be mindful that YOU are their parent
NOT their friend.  YES.......there are many times that my kids and me just hung out for the sake
of having fun.  It was special and fun and lots of wonderful times.  BUT.........when I needed
them to do what I said, the parent hat was put on and they MUST obey me.

OR

Things were taken away, (tv, computer, phone, car...etc) yep.

You know the saying, "when Mama ain't happen........no one will be happy"......JUST do
what your Mama says..........she and your Daddy are in charge of you !   Really !  They are, by
God's own design ........your God given bosses !  See the Commandments..........yes, those Ten Commandments.  I rest my case.

2.  TEACH YOUR CHILDREN that........You may not have everything you want.
So work for them.  Yes, if you don't get an allowance from your parents, work for them or someone in your neighborhood to get money by doing things.  (Mowing lawns, baby sitting, dog walking.......when your times comes get a job ! YES it helps shape you as a person and YES your get MONEY !!!  You can buy YOUR OWN THINGS !!!  If you parents want to buy you Levi jeans and you want designer jeans, work out a deal with them .......the money they would spend + YOUR money can buy you your special; jeans, shoes, games etc. It works for me and should with your parents too.

Word to the wise, resale shops have  fancy stuff and way better prices.  Also Goodwill and Salvation
Army have wonderful things too.   (special note Everything is halfprice on Wednesdays at Good
will.........yup)

Teach you children to be a good person. "Be Good to your parents and they'll be good to you." .

Thats all !

My Mama

I owe so much to my Mom, and I still cry .........she's passed away in 2008.

I was the fourth child in a family of five children.  BUT I think I caused the most headaches .

I was a very sick child, from about 6 years old on, I had horrible allergies which later developed
in to Asthma.  She was always up with me trying to calm me when I was horrified because I couldn't catch my breath, drove me to the Dr's twice a week for allergy shots for many years and after two stays in the hospital with Pneumonia before I was 9 years old.  I missed so much school and my Mom with teach me from my bed my teacher would come and give me test.  I managed to maintain my grades ( I read ALOT, cause I couldn't play outside much......I didn't get to go to recess until about 6th grade and then I couldn't run). She was always there in all my regular childhood things like etc.  I had a foot surgery in my early 30's and she was there to wait on me for several days. She and Daddy were there for the births of both my boys.  Then in 1998 when I had my Breast Cancer she was there again by my side cooking for me, cleaning, caring for the boys and most of all praying for me. None of my other brothers and sisters ever had any health problems until later in life. She always gave me advise about female things, children, cooking and being a Christian.

She always took us to Church, I loved being there and was saved in the 3rd grade.  She instilled the love of the Lord in me which I carried to this day.  She taught Sunday School, VBS and Sunbeams.  As an adult, my greatest joys was coming home and attending Church with her and visiting her Bible study with her friends.

I would visit often (which turned out to be not nearly enough for me) and my husband would think Odessa was so boring, what to do, where to go, but me, I didn't go anywhere.  I enjoyed so much just being with her talking, cooking, it was what make me the happiest.  She visited me too several times in Colorado and several times in Dallas area, she was there for both my new houses and helped me decorate and care for the boys while we moved.  I regret that I didn't live closer to her so much, my boys didn't get as close to her as I would of liked.

I always enjoyed our weekly phone calls,  EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND for my whole life.  If I didn't call her, she would call me.  When I was a poor college student I would call collect, but something was missing if we didn't talk as least once a week, she had my direct line to all my places of business and would sometime just check in with me.  This continued until her hospital stay and then I came to be with her when hospice sent her home.  I waited on her hand giving her what she needed, for a week or so, then my sister took over and she passed the next day, she just wanted to see everyone.

I miss her smile, her laugh, her words of wisdom and her hugs and I will see again someday if the Lord says so too, until then I still cry when I think of her, I'm crying now as I write this and will surely cry again tomorrow Mother's Day as we all remember our Moms.
